Synthetic example 1

[0240] Synthesis of Copolymer a

[0241] 100 parts of xylene was kept at 80°C in a nitrogen stream, and while stirring, 68 parts of ethyl methacrylate, 29 parts of 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate, 3 parts of thioglycolic acid, and a polymerization initiator ("PERBUTYL (registered trademark) O" [active ingredient tert-butyl peroxy 2-ethylhexanoate, manufactured by NOF Co., Ltd.]) 0.2 parts of the mixture was dripped over 4 hours. After completion of dripping, 0.5 part of "PERBUTYL (registered trademark) O" was added every 4 hours, and it stirred at 80 degreeC for 12 hours. After completion of the reaction, xylene was added to adjust the non-volatile content to obtain a xylene solution of the copolymer a having a non-volatile content of 50%.

Synthetic example 2

[0242] Synthesis of Copolymer b

[0243] 100 parts of xylene was kept at 80°C in a nitrogen stream, and while stirring, 66 parts of ethyl methacrylate, 28 parts of 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate, 6 parts of thioglycolic acid, and a polymerization initiator ("PERBUTYL (registered trademark) O" [active ingredient tert-butyl peroxy 2-ethylhexanoate, manufactured by NOF Co., Ltd.]) 0.3 parts of the mixture was dripped over 4 hours. After completion of dripping, 0.5 part of "PERBUTYL (registered trademark) O" was added every 4 hours, and it stirred at 80 degreeC for 12 hours. After completion of the reaction, an appropriate amount of xylene was added to adjust the non-volatile content to obtain a xylene solution of the copolymer b having a non-volatile content of 50%.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device using a specific liquid crystal composition and having a color filter of a specific inclination parameter representing the agglomeration degree of organic dye. This invention provides a liquid crystal display device preventing poor display problems such as hollowness, non-uniform orientation and after-image caused by the lowered voltage holding rate (VHR) of liquid crystal layer and the increased ion density (ID). The liquid crystal display device of this invention is characterized by preventing reduction of voltage holding rate (VHR) of liquid crystal layer and the increase of ion density (ID) and inhibiting the generation of poor display such as after-image, thereby making this invention particularly useful for IPS mode and FFS mode liquid crystal display devices with active matrix drive, and applicable to liquid crystal display devices such as liquid crystal TV, monitors, mobile phones, and smart phones.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device. Background technique [0002] From clocks and calculators, liquid crystal display devices have been used in various household electrical appliances, measurement equipment, automotive panels, word processors, electronic notebooks, printers, computers, televisions, and the like. As a liquid crystal display method, the representative liquid crystal display methods include TN (twisted nematic) type, STN (super twisted nematic) type, DS (dynamic light scattering) type, GH (guest-host) type, IPS (in-plane switching ) type, OCB (Optically Compensated Birefringence) type, ECB (Voltage Controlled Birefringence) type, VA (Vertical Alignment) type, CSH (Color Super Vertical) type or FLC (Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal) and so on. In addition, as the driving method, starting from the conventional static driving, multiplexing driving has become a common method, and the simple matrix method and the rec...
