Abstract

The invention relates to a method for metallizing a surface of a first part (14) for a motor vehicle, which includes a step for applying a solution of metal salts onto the surface, preceded by a step for spraying an activation solution onto the surface of a closed chamber (16). The method further includes the steps in which the activation solution that remains in the closed chamber (16) after being sprayed is recovered, and the recovered activation solution is used for being sprayed onto the surface of the first part or of a second part for a motor vehicle.
