Abstract

The invention relates to a management method for planting adult sweet cherry trees at warm regions in the south of China. The variety of sweet cherries adopts Fanduan, Summit, Rainey, Red honey, Santina, Russia No.1, or Kosmytchekaja. The management method of the adult sweet cherry trees comprises the following five steps of: 1, sheltering the trees from rain, sunshine and birds; 2, performing water management; 3, shaping and trimming the trees; 4, performing fertilizing management; and 5, controlling and preventing diseases and insect pests. Through the adoption of the management method disclosed by the invention, continuous high yield of the sweet cherries at 4 small areas in Pujiang County is successfully realized. The method disclosed by the invention has important significances in adjusting the agricultural production structure of the warm regions in the south of China, increasing income for countryside, peasants and agriculture, improving the ecological environment, and driving local regional economic development.
