Abstract

The disclosure relates to an application recommendation method and apparatus. The method comprises: obtaining a first file and obtaining application information of at least one application associated with the first file from a server, wherein each piece of application information comprises an application identifier; and according to the application information of each application, displaying application recommendation information corresponding to each application. The first file can be an application or a multimedia file. According to the application recommendation method and apparatus, the problem of no association between a recommended application and a previously installed application in a related technology is solved, and the effect of improving the association between the application recommended to a user and the previously installed application or the previously obtained file is achieved.
