Abstract

The invention provides a user identity verifying method and system of a metering device. In adoption of the method, the identification incapable defect generated in reading data by a contact card can be avoided. The method comprises following steps that: a remote server sends an identity verifying identifier to the metering device; login is carried out on the metering device by using a user card; the metering device identifies the user card and returns identification information to the remote server; and the remote server generates user metering data according to the identification information and the identity verifying identifier and sends to the metering device. The invention also provides a system for realizing the identity verifying method.
