Abstract

The invention provides a cathode protection system for a powerless insulation region and relates to the field of corrosion and technical protection. The cathode protection system comprises a cathode current source, power feeding and supplementing points arranged on a buried pipeline, a clamp potential protective circuit and high negative potential electrodes. The cathode current source is used for generating cathode current which can extend along the surface of the buried pipeline, so that the low potential of the buried pipeline is kept. The power feeding and supplementing points are arranged at the two ends of the buried pipeline and connected with the input end of the clamp potential protective circuit. The output end of the clamp potential protective circuit is connected with the input ends of the high negative potential electrodes. By the adoption of the cathode protection system, cathode protection of the buried pipeline can be achieved without additional arrangement of an electric insulation device.
