Abstract

Provided is a surgical tool (1) for atrial appendage ligation, equipped with: a pressing part (3) provided with contact portions (4) of circular shape in transverse section and rounded at the tip, designed to be guided into the pericardium through a sheath passing through the pericardial membrane and to be pressed against the atrial appendage near the base thereof; and a shaft (2) positioned to be inserted within the sheath, supporting at the distal end thereof the pressing part (3), and having rigidity such that it is possible to transmit pressing force in the lengthwise direction applied at the basal end side of the sheath.
