Abstract

The invention provides a jack and a mobile terminal wherein the jack comprises a housing. The housing is mounted in a groove opened on a substrate. The jack further comprises a light guide plate and a lighting component. The light guide plate is located between the outer wall of the housing and the inner wall of the groove. The lighting component is installed at one side of the light receiving face of the light guide plate and is electrically connected with an electric circuit board. Such a design allows the light from the lighting component to be projected onto the light guide plate so that it penetrates between the housing of the jack and the groove on the substrate of a mobile terminal. Based on the original structure of the jack, an increased visual effect can be achieve, helping a user to identify the jack quickly in the dark and providing the possibility to remind the user of the multiple functions of the jack.
