Abstract

The invention discloses a channel configuration method. The channel configuration method comprises steps that: an optical line terminal OLT acquires uplink channels corresponding to all downlink channels; and the OLT binds the downlink channels and the corresponding uplink channels into a channel beam, wherein the downlinks in the channel beam and any uplink channel in the channel beam are bound into a physical channel. The invention also discloses a channel configuration device. According to the invention, uplink usable bandwidth resources in the channel beam are sharable, and the uplink dynamic bandwidth distribution is free from effects of the downlink channels and can be freely switched between the uplink channels, so a condition that some physical channels are too idle since the physical channels are too busy in the PON network is avoided and bandwidth waste is avoided.
