Abstract

The invention provides a traditional Chinese medicine composition having an effect of inhibiting tumor-related cytokines. The traditional Chinese medicine composition is prepared from 12 to 18 portions by weight of radix astragali, 8 to 12 portions by weight of glossy privet fruit, 1 to 2 portions by weight of American ginseng and 1 to 2 portions by weight of licorice root. The invention also provides a use of the traditional Chinese medicine composition in inhibition of tumor-related cytokines. The cytokines comprise PD-L1, IL-13, IL-1 and TNF. The invention also provides a method for preparing the traditional Chinese medicine composition. Through use of licorice root and American ginseng based on the traditional Chinese medicines of radix astragali and glossy privet fruit, expression of PD-L1 in tumor cells is directly inhibited and expression of cytokines such as IL-13, IL-1 and TNF is adjusted from the upstream so that an immune system is adjusted in a cell level and in a liquid level, immune functions are recovered, development of tumors is inhibited and patient survival time is prolonged. Compared with the existing monoclonal antibody, the traditional Chinese medicine composition has a lower cost and higher safety.
