The invention discloses a vehicle message authentication method and device in the Internet of Vehicles. The method comprises the following steps: receiving an encrypted vehicle message, a temporary key and a timestamp of a message sending vehicle terminal in the Internet of Vehicles, wherein the encrypted vehicle message is a vehicle message encrypted by the temporary key, the temporary key is released by an authentication center under the request of the message sending vehicle terminal when the same needs to send the vehicle message, and the timestamp expresses the time of releasing the temporary key; sending the received temporary key and the timestamp to the authentication center; and decrypting the encrypted vehicle message by using the received temporary key in response to an authentication pass message received from the authentication center to obtain the vehicle message. By adoption of the vehicle message authentication method and device disclosed by the invention, security authentication can be carried out on the identity of a message sender without threatening the privacy of vehicle users in the Internet of Vehicles.
