The ultralow-VOC aqueous gravure silver ink is prepared through mixing 15-25 wt% of an all-solid aqueous aluminum pigment, 33-47 wt% of deionized water, 26-50 wt% of an aqueous ink emulsion, 0.5-1.5 wt% of a leveling agent and 1-2 wt% of a wetting agent. The invention also provides a preparation method of the ultralow-VOC aqueous gravure silver ink. The ultralow-VOC aqueous gravure silver ink has approximately zero VOC content, and is green and environmentally-friendly. The ultralow-VOC aqueous gravure silver ink has the advantages of excellent printing quality, saturated chroma, strong metal feeling and good covering power. The preparation method has the advantages of simple process, high production efficiency, environmental protection, no pollution, and low price and small size of used devices.
