Abstract

The invention relates to a session establishment method and apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a first message from a second device, wherein the first message comprises a remote transmission address corresponding to the second device; determining a local transmission address corresponding to a first device according to the remote transmission address corresponding to the second device; determining the local transmission address corresponding to the second device according to a source address of the first message; and establishing a label distribution protocol LDP session between the first device and the second device according to the local transmission address corresponding to the first device and the local transmission address corresponding to the second device. By adoption of the session establishment method and apparatus provided by the invention, the remote transmission address can be added to a Hello message of the LDP, so that the local transmission address of the device can be directly determined by the remote transmission address of the remote device, and no attention is paid to the configuration of the local transmission address of the device inthe establishment process of the LDP session.
