Abstract

The packaging (2) comprises a base member (3) defining a plane and a cover member (4) shaped as cap. The cover member (4) is secured to the base member (3) in a packaged state, wherein, in said packaged state, the cover member (4) at least partially covers at least one of the cutting blades (12, 13) but does not substantially cover the handles (10, 11). The handles (10, 11) are accessible for manual engagement in the packaged state. According to the invention, the cutting device (1) is secured in the packaged state exclusively by means of the cover member (4) engaging the base member (3) in a form fit connection.
