The protective wax is prepared from the following components in partsby weight: 50 to 80 parts of palm wax and 30 to 60 parts of silicone oil, wherein the palm wax is prepared from 20 to 40 parts of fatty acid ester, 6 to 20 parts of hydroxy fatty acid ester, 30 to 50parts of p-methoxycinnamate and 50 to 80 parts of p-hydroxycinnamic acid diester. According to the protective wax, through coating the surface of a well processed copper sculpture with a layer of theprotective wax, the copper sculpture can be insulated from water and oxygen in air; verdigris cannot generate on the copper sculpture exposed to the air and rainwater for a long time and generating achemical reaction with the water, the oxygen and the like and the attractiveness of the copper sculpture is improved.
