The brightening and whitening toothpaste is prepared from the following ingredients in parts by weight: 3.0 to 4.5parts of polyacrylic acid polymers, 1.0 to 3.0 parts of sodium dodecyl sulfate, 28 to 40 parts of humectants, 0.2 to 0.5 part of sweetening agents, 0.3 to 0.7 part of thickening agents, 30 to 50 parts of friction agents, 10 to 25 parts of deionized water, 1 to 3 parts of chlorophyll and 3 to 8 parts of pearl powder, wherein the friction agents are longan seed powder.
