The invention relates to an organic light emitting display device. The organic light emitting diode display device includes a first electrode on a protective layer, a pixel defining layer on the protective layer and defining an opening that exposes at least a portion of the first electrode, an organic light emitting layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the light emitting layer.The protective layer has a recessed portion overlapping the opening, and the recessed portion is spaced apart from an edge of the opening on a plane.
