Abstract

The present invention provides a network connection method and device. The network connection method is applied to a terminal, and includes the steps: generating first information which is used to characterize the network type that the terminal desires to connect; and sending the first information to a base station so as to enable the base station to determine network equipment to be connected forthe terminal when determining that the terminal is allowed to access according to the first information and connect the terminal with the network equipment to be connected. Therefore, the base station in the network connection method can learn the type of the network that the terminal desires to connect according to the first information, and is beneficial to selecting and connecting suitable network equipment for the terminal, thus satisfying the network requirement for the terminal, and improving the efficiency of network connection.
