Abstract

The invention provides a brightness compensation method and device and a display device, so as to achieve the compensation for the subpixel brightness in the display device, and improve the brightnessuniformity of pixels. The method comprises the steps: performing a curve building and updating process and a compensation process at the same time. For each subpixel, the curve building and updatingprocess comprises the steps: performing the real-time detection of the actual brightness of the subpixels; building and updating the actual brightness curve of the changing of the actual brightness ofthe subpixels with the gray scale value. The compensation process comprises the steps: obtaining an ideal brightness value corresponding to a gray scale value to be outputted by a subpixel; calculating the corresponding gray scale value according to the actual brightness curve of the subpixels when the actual brightness value is equal to the obtained ideal brightness value, and taking the gray scale value as an actual output gray scale value. The compensation method is applied in an OLED display device, and can solve a problem that the brightness of the subpixels is not uniform due to the aging of a light-emitting device.
