Abstract

The polysaccharide disclosed by the invention is purified polysaccharide subjected to ethanol fractional precipitation of which the concentration is 70% (F70), and is capable of effectively suppressing expression of Hypocretin and Hypocretin receptor-2 genes as well as effectively promoting expression of GABAA receptor alpha-2 and melanin receptor-1a genes. Thus, the purified polysaccharide subjected to ethanol fractional precipitation of which the concentration is 70% can be used for preparing sleep-improving health products. For example, the purified polysaccharide can be mixed with conventional auxiliary materials for health products so as to be prepared into capsules by directly filling the mixture into capsules or filling the mixture into capsules after performing of granulation; and the purified polysaccharide can also be prepared into emulsion, oral liquid and the like.
