Abstract

The invention provides a method for accurately synchronizing frequency sweep between a scalar network analyzer and a signal generator, which comprises a signal generator and a scalar network analyzer.The signal generator is connected with the scalar network analyzer through a first BNC cable, a second BNC cable and a network cable, respectively. The method is specifically divided into the following steps: frequency sweep parameters are set on the scalar network analyzer, and each parameter is sent to the signal generator through the network cable; after receiving the frequency sweep parameters, the signal generator starts to sweep frequency, the signal generator sends scan starting / stopping signals to the scalar network analyzer through the first BNC cable, and the signal generator sendsa scanning pulse signal to the scalar network analyzer through the second BNC cable; the scalar network analyzer analyzes the scan starting / stopping signals and the scanning pulse signal sent out by the signal generator; the frequency sweeping process is constantly performed in the case of not changing the frequency sweep parameters.
