Abstract

The invention provides a system and method for automatically restarting a distributed storage server. The system comprises a master server and a slave server for data communication with the master server. The master server comprises a restart script sending module, which is used for sending a restart script to the slave server when receiving a slave server restart request sent by the slave server;a restart state information receiving module which is configured to receive the restart state information sent from the slave server. The slave server includes a state obtaining module for obtainingstate information of the slave server; a restart script obtaining module used for sending a restart request of the slave server to the master server when the slave server needs to be restarted according to the state information of the slave server; a restart script running module used for receiving the restart script sent by the master server, running the restart script, and sending the restart status information of the slave server to the master server.
