The mstn1 gene has a GenBank login number of KM874826.1. The mstn2 gene has a GenBank login number of KM874827.1. The invention further discloses a method for finding and detecting the SNP, a primer group and application. The SNP maker can be used for detecting or monitoring weight, whole length, body length, bodyheight, head length, tail length, tail height and body thicknesses of a grass carp, or a combination of any data, or a ratio of any two values.
