A pumpkin mosaic virus is adopted as a material, genomes 5.8Kb RNA1 (Ribonucleic Acid 1) and 3.3Kb RNA2 are constructed into a plant expression vector pXT1, and then agrobacterium-mediated virus vectors pSqMV-RNA1 and pSqMV-RNA2 with efficient infection capability to host plants are obtained. By adopting the vector, a foundation is laid for studying genomes, gene structures and functions as well as interactions of the virus with hosts, and a novel method is also provided for revealingseed-borne mechanisms of the virus.
