The invention discloses a method for photocatalytic synthesis of a 2, 3-dihydrobenzopyran-4-ketone compound and application of the 2, 3-dihydrobenzopyran-4-ketone compound, a triplet excitation state with a double-free-radical characteristic is formed after photoexcitation of a chromone compound, and the triplet excitation state can be subjected to hydrogen atom transfer with various substrates such as ethers, esters, alcohols, alkanes, sulfides, amines and aryl phosphine compounds, so that the 2, 3-dihydrobenzopyran-4-ketone compound is obtained. And carrying out Giese addition on the generated free radicals and an unexcited chromone compound to obtain a target product. Further biological activity evaluation shows that part of products obtained in the invention show good inhibitory activity on tobacco mosaic viruses, and the good protective activities of target compounds 3i and 4b are 67.77% and 63.63% respectively when the concentration is 500mg / L, which are equivalent to 63.83% of a control drug ningnanmycin. Therefore, the compound not only is green and efficient in synthesis method, but also has potential application value in the aspects of agricultural disease control and structure protection research.
