The invention provides a detection method for authenticating a galvanizing method of galvanized steel wires by coating iron content, and is proposed to identify zinc electroplating and hot-dip galvanizing from the galvanizing principle. The hot-dip galvanized coating is divided into two layers, a pure zinc layer and a zinc-iron alloy layer formed by thermal diffusion, so that the iron is present in the coating. A chemical method is established to identify the two according to the different chemical elements in the two coatings.
