Abstract

The invention relates to a nutrient solution special for water culture of celery. The nutrient solution comprises a biogas slurry diluent, ammonium nitrate, potassium sulfate, calcium superphosphate,magnesium sulfate, chelated iron, boric acid and manganese sulfate. It is indicated by cultivation comparison tests that the content of soluble sugar, soluble protein and vitamin C in the petioles ofthe celery grown by the hydroponic nutrient solution is the highest, the content of nitrate is the lowest, and the daily increase rate of fresh weight is the highest. Therefore, the celery grown by the hydroponic nutrient solution has higher quality and higher yield in comparison with celery obtained by means of a typical celery nutrient solution formula or soil culture.
