Abstract

The proton exchange membrane separates the cell body into an oxidation chamber and a reduction chamber. The oxidation electrode is arranged in the oxidation chamber. The reduction electrode is arranged in the reduction chamber. The oxidation chamber is used for receiving an energetic agent and the oxidation electrode catalyzes the oxidation reaction of the energetic agent. The reduction chamber is used for receiving an oxidantand the reduction electrode catalyzes the reduction reaction of the oxidant. The electrons generated by the oxidation electrode are transferred to the reduction electrode via the circuit system. Theenergetic agent and the oxidant are pumped directly into the oxidation chamber and the reduction chamber respectively. The energetic agent is directly contacted with the oxidation electrode. The hydrogen ions generated by the energetic agent catalyzed by the oxidation electrode enter the reduction chamber directly through the proton exchange membrane so as to improve the catalytic efficiency.
