A total extract obtained by decocting the balanophora involucrate, a water extraction and alcohol precipitation part, and an ethyl acetate part are in in vitro AML12 cells, secretion of inflammatory cytokines such as PA-stimulated TNF-alpha and IL-1beta can be obviously inhibited, and expressions of mRNAs of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-1beta can be inhibited; and the expressions of mRNAs of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-1beta in HFD-induced liver tissue of mice can both be obviously inhibited in vivo. Meanwhile, lipid deposition in liver tissue of mice with alcoholic hepatitis can be effectively improved by the water extraction and alcohol precipitation part of the balanophora involucrate, inflammatory cell infiltration is reduced, activities of mice serum ALT and AST and expression level of inflammatory cytokines of TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, IL-6, and NLRP3, and the protective effects of lipid deposition inhibition and inflammatory reaction resistance to alcoholic hepatitis are achieved. According to the extract, during animalexperiments, no mouse is found dead, no obvious abnormal renal and liver function is observed in the mice, and it is indicated that the medicine has good safety.
