In this figure, the earphone 10 worn in the ear 11 uses a standard completely in the canal (CIC) housing well known in the art, but many other known forms of earphone housings well known in the art may also be used ( For example, behind the ear, or BTE). The headset shown in FIG. 1 includes a microphone 12 , an RF transceiver 13 with an antenna also used as a headset extractor 14 , and a speaker 15 . While the dual purpose antenna / extractor arrangement shown in Figure 1 is generally suitable, a single antenna or several antennas may be used together with many different forms of earphone extractors suitable for a particular application.
