The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, mixing 4-methylpyridine iodized salt with 4 hydroxyl-3, 5-dimethylbenzaldehyde, putting into methanol, pouring into a flask, carrying out an ion exchange reaction and a condensation reflux reaction to obtain 4-(4 hydroxyl-3, 5-dimethylstyryl) methylpyridine iodide, purifying, dissolving in water, heating and stirring, then adding sodium sulfanilate, heating to react until a yellow solid is generated, drying to obtain a 4-(4 hydroxyl-3, 5-dimethylstyryl) methylpyridine p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid salt crystal growth raw material, and finally recrystallizing the obtained growth raw material by using methanol and filtering to obtain high-purity 4-(4-hydroxyl-3, 5-dimethylstyryl) methylpyridine p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid salt.
