Abstract

The invention provides a point cloud coding and decoding method, a device and a storage medium. The method includes obtaining a point cloud and determining a bounding box of the point cloud. A plurality of octree nodes are generated by segmenting the bounding box using an octree segmentation method. A prediction tree is generated for a plurality of points in at least one octree node of the plurality of octree nodes. Points in the at least one octree node are decoded using the prediction tree.
