[0035] The water retention effect on the skin was evaluated for the cosmetic product of Experimental Example 1. Take 0.2 grams of samples from each of the five products and spray evenly on an area of about 25 cm2 on the skin surface of the inner side of the volunteer's arm. 10 volunteers participated in this experiment. The water retention of the skin surface was measured using a probe of a skin analyzer SHP88 manufactured by Courage+Khazaka Electronic Gmbh, Germany at 23° C. in an environment of a relative humidity of 60%. The water retention effect is expressed by the increase ratio (%) of electrical conductivity, as shown in Table 3. The results showed that products containing γ-polyglutamate in Mg++ form and γ-polyglutamate hydrogel (prepared from γ-polyglutamate in Na+ form) had better and longer-lasting water retention properties.

The higher the R2 value of the appearance elasticity index, the better the skin elasticity. The results are shown in Table 4.
