The invention is an OSD (on-screen display) displaying method, used in a computer system, which comprises host computer and display, where the display has a display screen, a display microprocessor and a memory unit stored with an original OSD display characteristic parameter. And the method comprises the steps of: 1. providing an OSD editor in the host computer to display the OSD editor on the display screen; 2. when a user readjusts display characteristics of the OSD on the OSD editor, the OSD editor generates an updated OSD display characteristic parameter; 3. inputting the updated OSD display characteristic parameters to the display microprocessor; 4. the display microprocessor stores the updated OSD display characteristic parameter to the memory unit; and 5. when redisplayed on the display screen, the OSD will be displayed by the updated OSD display characteristic parameter.
