Benefits of technology

The present invention provides a garment for use on a beach, such as swimwear, with a pocket. The pocket is designed to obfuscate the contour of the item contained therein to deter theft. The pocket can hold a personal care item or the garment itself. The garment has a brief body and / or bottom with a waistband that has the pocket formed within it. The waistband has multiple layers of material that are connected at the edges and has a pocket depth greater than the waistband depth. The garment also includes a skirt or shorts connected to the garment body with a pocket connected to it by side seams. The pocket, side seams, and shorts body are layered together to form a fold so that opposite sides of the fold are connected by a bottom seam. These features enhance the security and comfort of the garment for the wearer.

Problems solved by technology

Swimwear, in particular, bathing suits that include a brief as a bottom, do not allow a wearer to store an item such as a mobile phone in the bathing suit.
This leads to visibility of the mobile phone, which can increase vulnerability of the wearer to theft of the mobile phone.
Further, it is undesirable due to health concerns, whether real or perceived, such as breast cancer.
Accordingly, existing garment pockets cannot hold the newest mobile phones, let alone the newest mobile phone that includes a protective case surrounding the mobile phone.
