The skis 12 are constructed of a hull 13 which is exemplarily constructed of fiberglass. In another embodiment, the hull 13 may be constructed of other material, including, but not limited to plastic or Kevlar®. In still further embodiments, a hydrophobic material can be used to construct the hull or to coat the hull to reduce drag on the skis 12 when in use. The hull 13 surrounds a floatation core.
