A Turbine Assembly Positioning System (TAPS) embodiment includes both a handling system and a crane mounted on a skidding cantilever structure for securing the blades to the assembled tower section and nacelle hub that are cantilevered outboard of the vessel by the handling system. The combination embodiment uses selected components and systems from the TIGS, STIC and TAPS embodiments to provide component and system redundancy and concurrent operation.
