The apparatus includes a plurality of partial correlators to calculate a first partial correlation value between a sub sequence of a training sequence and an “I” signal of a received signal that corresponds to a range of a sub sequence and a second partial correlation value between the sub sequence of the training sequence and a “Q” signal of the received signal, and calculating the first partial correlation value and the second partial correlation value for each of the predetermined number of sub sequences, a plurality of squarers to square the first and second partial correlation values for each sub sequence, respectively, a plurality of adders to add the squared first and second partial correlation values for each sub sequence and add the added squared partial correlation values of all the sub sequences to provide a correlation signal between the training sequence and a corresponding portion of the received signal, a maximum value detection unit to detect a maximum one of the added partial correlation values of the sub sequences from the correlation signal, and a position detection unit to detect a position of the detected maximum value as the sync signal of the received signal.

A binder for papers, photographs, or other sheet-like materials is provided with a cover having one or more window openings defined therein. A flat, transparent protective sheet is located in contact with the inside surface of the binder cover and a backing sheet overlies the protective sheet. The backing sheet is secured to the peripheral margin of the protective sheet, and elsewhere as required, to delineate at least one, and preferably a plurality of pockets. The pockets are formed between the backing sheet and the protective sheet. An elongated slit in defined through the backing sheet behind each pocket created. The peripheral edges of the backing sheet are permanently secured to the inside surface of the binder cover. Photographs or other flat display materials may be inserted into the pockets formed between the backing sheet and the protective sheet through the elongated slits. The pockets are delineated so that they are aligned with the window opening in the cover. The photographs or other display materials may thereby be viewed through the window openings from the outside through the transparent protective sheet. Selected display materials may be inserted and withdrawn from the pockets through the elongated slits in the backing cover.

There is an electric motor driven drop bolt having a housing which in use is mounted into a doorway frame and has the bolt pivotal therein by a mechanical drive set in a cage disposed at an operative position. The bolt is pivotal between a locking configuration where the bolt extends outward of the housing to engage in an aperture associated with a door within the frame and an unlocked configuration where the bolt is withdrawn to clear the aperture. The mechanical drive includes a screw shaft rotatable by the electric motor to move a roller nut along the length of the shaft whilst engaging a cam surface on the bolt. To obtain fail safe operation of the drop bolt the cage is slidable in the housing from the operative position to a disengaged position so that the bolt is movable from the locking configuration to the unlocked configuration without operation of the mechanical drive.

A buckle having a male portion and a female portion. The male portion has two sidewalls, first and second retaining bars and at least one locking arm. There is a slidable strap gripping bar disposed adjacent the first strap retaining bar. The strap gripping bar is adapted to slide between a release position and a gripping position. The female portion comprises a hollow body with an open end and at least one locking slot for receiving the locking arm. When the male portion is inserted into the female portion, the locking arm locks into the locking slot and the female portion pushes the strap gripping bar into a gripping position, which grips a strap threaded through the retaining bars, and prevents the strap from slipping. When the male portion is released from the female portion, the strap gripping bar slides into the release position and allows adjustment of the strap.

The dosage schedule and amount are translated into the symbols which are applied to each duplicate prescription label. Medications are dispensed to the patient in accordance with the symbols applied to the duplicate prescription labels.

A method for forming an image sensor is provided. The method includes providing a semiconductor substrate having a pixel region and a peripheral circuit region, forming a photoelectric transformation section at the semiconductor substrate of the pixel region, forming a plurality of interlayer dielectrics over the semiconductor substrate with interconnections interposed therebetween, forming a passivation layer, partially patterning the passivation layer at the peripheral circuit region to form a via hole exposing the interconnection and removing the passivation layer and the underlying interlayer dielectric at the pixel region. The method further includes forming a conductive layer to fill the via hole and etching the conductive layer to remove the conductive layer at the pixel region and form a via plug and a conductive pad at the peripheral circuit region. The via plug fills the via hole and the conductive pad protrudes outwardly from the via hole.

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display for improving surface characteristics of an indium-tin-oxide (ITO) layer for use as a pixel electrode by performing a surface treatment process after forming a pixel separation layer and before depositing an organic layer and a method of fabricating the same. The method of forming an electrode of a flat panel display includes forming an electrode material on a substrate; patterning the electrode material to form an electrode pattern; forming an insulating layer with a deposition thickness on the substrate; etching the insulating layer to expose a portion of the electrode pattern; and performing a surface treatment process under the condition that the insulating layer is etched by a predetermined thickness from the deposition thickness.

A display device includes: a plurality of signal lines which extend in a zigzag manner in a column direction and to which image signals are supplied, respectively; an insulation film which covers the plurality of signal lines; and a plurality of pixel electrodes which are formed on the insulation film and to which the image signals are input from the plurality of signal lines, respectively. Compared to a prior art in which one of storage capacitor electrodes is formed side by side with a channel of a thin film transistor, capacitor electrodes formed according to the present invention are located near to a substrate, thereby forming contact electrodes in many times without forming them one time.

A double album of photograph display includes two mirror image portions located on opposite sides of a central web. Each mirror image portion is formed with a stiff, rectangular outer cover panel, an intermediate end panel, and a stiff inner cover panel.
