A keypad device for a mobile telephone or other device utilizing a keypad or keyboard is comprised of a flexible substrate and a keypad cover. The flexible substrate includes a plurality of keys affixed to the surface as well as a plurality first conductive strips associated with each key. The keypad cover is attached to the flexible substrate. The keypad cover typically includes holes that permit the plurality of keys to protrude through the keypad cover. In addition, the keypad cover further includes a plurality of second conductive strips that selectively contact a corresponding first conductive strip on the flexible substrate. The plurality of first conductive strips is coupled to ground and the plurality of second conductive strips is coupled to logic circuitry. Or, in another embodiment, both sets of conductive strips are coupled with the logic circuitry. The default position of the keypad device has each of the first conductive strips in contact with each of the corresponding second conductive strips. This creates a short circuit condition that prevents key signals from being received by the logic circuitry. When a particular key is depressed to the point where the first conductive strip associated with that particular key is separated from the second conductive strip corresponding to the first conductive strip, the short circuit condition is removed. This allows a signal to be transmitted to and processed by the logic circuitry indicating that a particular key has been selected.

A switch module of built-in anti-surge disconnection structure mainly comprises an overcurrent protection switch and has anti-surge and disconnection structures ingeniously built inside a fire-proof and heat-resisting housing. The present invention comprises a switch area formed by a binary alloy conductive spring leaf and two connecting points, an anti-surge area formed by at least one bare metal oxide varistor placed in the housing and a plurality of conductive plates, and a disconnection area formed by a spring element, a band, and a thermo-sensitive piece. When the connecting points in the switch area are contacting with each other—turning on the switch—and an overvoltage occurs, the temperature of the metal oxide varistor would suddenly rise up to a degree higher than a pre-determined number, melting the thermo-sensitive piece, loosening and displacing the band, thus ejecting the spring element and forcing the connecting points detaching from each other to turn off the switch, so as to ensure more of electricity safety.

A water-proof button assembly includes a seat, a sealing member, a button and a contact member. The seat has an opening and an inward protrusion extends inward from the inside of the opening. The sealing member is installed in the opening and has a through hole which is defined by an outer portion. The outer portion contacts the inward protrusion of the seat. The diameter of the outer portion is larger than the diameter of the button. The contact member is located corresponding to the button and contacts the inward protrusion. When the button is pressed, the force pushes the sealing member to contact against the inside of the opening of the seat to enhance the sealing effect between the sealing member and the opening. The sealing member provides a bouncing force for returning the button to the initial position.

A compact, thinned and water-tightened combined switch, is structured by a single switch comprising a front sheet having a domed projection which can be reversed to the back side and is provided at the back side with an electrode, an electric circuit body having an electric contact to contact with the electrode and a domed convex portion provided in the vicinity of the center of the domed projection. In operation process, firstly the projection is reversed and an electrode provided near the periphery of the convex portion contacts with the electric contact on the electric circuit body and secondly an electrode provided in the vicinity of the center of the domed convex portion contacts with the electric contact on the electric circuit body.

The present disclosure provides a conductive member for a circuit breaker high voltage portion conductor assembly, the conductive member including a body with a transfer portion and a coupling portion. The body transfer portion has an electro-thermally efficient contour. That is, the body transfer portion has an electrically efficient contour and a thermally efficient contour. The body transfer portion includes a number of slots defining fins. In this configuration, the body transfer portion distributes current generally evenly across a cross-sectional area of the conductive member body. Further, the fins provide heat dissipation via convection.

A key has a varying response depending on the manner of depression. The key comprises at least a base and a switching element arranged curved relative to one another. Between the switching element and the base is a contact area where the switching element touches the base. When the switching element is depressed towards the base, the edge of the contact area between the switching element and the base moves along the surface of the base. This is directed to a dome switch that may prevent liquid from coming into contact with circuit elements of the switch. A deformable dome may include a conductive inner surface region and may be placed over a conductive contact pad such that the dome may deform and the conductive elements may contact each other. At least one sheath may be positioned between the conductive region of the dome and the contact pad positioned below the dome for preventing liquid external to the one or more sheaths from contacting the conductive portions of the switch. In some embodiments, a first sheath may be coupled to the inner surface of the dome about the conductive inner surface region and a second sheath may be coupled to a mounting surface about the conductive contact pad, such that when a user deforms the dome, one of the sheaths may extend into the other sheath.

A switch module of built-in anti-surge disconnection structure mainly comprises an overcurrent protection switch and an anti-surge disconnection structure ingeniously built inside a heat-resisting housing. The switch module has a first connecting point and a second connecting point for operation. When overvoltage occurs, the temperature of at least one metal oxide varistor would instantly rise up to a degree higher than the melting point thereof, melting at least one thermo-sensitive piece, loosening at least one spring element, displacing a pushing element, and thus forcing the connecting points detaching from each other to turn off the switch and stop supplying the electricity power, so as to ensure more of electricity safety.
