Abstract

The objective of the invention is to provide a method to choose radio channel using two or more interfaces at parallel level 2 to facilitate handoff at level 3, and to provide mobile device.The method and device maintains service of the first transceiver in active state in the first connection at upper level 3, establishes the second connection of the second transceiver at the upper level 3, and switches service to the second connection. To establish a proper connection at the level 3, the mobile device can evaluate a candidate channel in the standard related to the service in connecting status in order to secure retention of service quality on a new connection.
