[0045] figure 1 A heat exchanger 1 is shown, in particular for a motor vehicle. The heat exchanger 1 has a bundle of tubes 2 parallel to each other and between two end plates 4 . Each end plate 4 has one end of the tube bundle passing therethrough. Each end plate 4 is covered by a header box 3 .

[0046] Cooling fins in the form of corrugated spacers 7 are fitted between the tubes 2 . Heat exchange can take place between the coolant fluid flowing in the tubes and the air passing through the spacers 7 . In addition to their function as cooling fins, the spacers 7 make it possible to maintain the spacing between the tubes and to limit their deformation when the pressurized coolant fluid flows through the tubes.

[0047] The tube bundle is delimited by two end tubes 20 and 21 which respectively form the top and bottom tubes of the tube bundle. The words "top tube" and "bottom tube" refer to figure 1 The position of the switch is used. exist figure 1 In the position, the p...

Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger, for example for a motor vehicle, having a tube bundle (2) and spacers inserted between the tubes of the tube bundle to facilitate heat exchange. The tube bundle is defined by two end spacers (70, 71). The exchanger also has two end plates through which the ends of the tube bundles pass and at least one flange (50, 51 ) on one of the end partitions. Advantageously, the flange has at least one expansion zone (80) to compensate for longitudinal expansion of the side panels, and the flange has a substantially U-shaped cross-section in the expansion zone.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a heat exchanger, in particular to a heat exchanger intended to be mounted on a motor vehicle. Background technique [0002] A conventional heat exchanger has a tube bundle defined by two end tubes. Spacers may also be provided between the tubes of the tube bundle to improve heat exchange. End spacers may be disposed on the outer surface of each end tube. [0003] The exchanger also has two end plates through which the ends of the tube bundles pass. Furthermore, the side panels are usually provided directly on the end spacer of one of the end tubes. [0004] The side plates of the heat exchanger then form spacers between the end plates to maintain a constant spacing between the end plates and to facilitate manufacture of the exchanger. They are also used to support and hold accessories attached to the heat exchanger, such as motor-fan units. [0005] Each side panel generally has an intermediate web bordered by two longitu...
