The 'qukedan' has effects such as blood-cooling, detumescence, dissipating hard mass, dissolving membrane, rupturing membrane, getting through the tumour of gullet. The usage of the 'qukedan'is that: when the patients suffering from gullet tumour and carcer can not eat anything even water, the serious ones keep one pill in mouth for half an hour until the stickies in a mixed color of red, white and yellow with mucosity and sticky foam are spitted, therefore the tumour is dissolved and broken. When the paitients can eat liquid diet, the time for keeping one pill in mouth is changed to be three hours.
