Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing DNS application layer gateway based on NAT-PT, which is used for exchanging DNS messages between an IPv4 network and an IPv6 network. The method comprises the following steps of DNS header processing, query domain processing, answering domain processing, authorization domain processing and extra information domain processing, wherein, measures for simplifying message problems and data recording processing are adopted. The method of the invention simply exchanges and processes DNS message header and four domains, which realizes communication started and connected by IPv4 nodes. The method of the invention takes NAT-PT as a basis and is an indivisible part of NAT-PT and an important link of realizing connection started by IPv4 nodes and the basis for realizing two-way communication between the IPv4 network and the IPv6 network.
