[0079] Apolipoprotein B100 protein carbon-terminal 10 amino acid residues (VPSCKLDFRE: SEQ ID NO: 2) containing reactive sulfhydryl groups were synthesized (SIGMA). Glutathione (100 mM) was added to the synthesized peptide solution, followed by incubation at 37° C. for 15 minutes in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (0.5 mM) to glutathionylate the thiol groups. Glutathionylation was eliminated by reduction treatment with a reducing agent, so it was confirmed that the sulfhydryl group was in a state of reversible -S-SG (glutathionylation).
