Embodiment Construction

[0011] Such as figure 1 As shown, the adsorber assembly 1 according to the invention comprises, for example, three operably engaged adsorber units 2 .

[0012] At this point, it should be clear that this number of three units 2 is not limiting and it can be increased or decreased.

[0013] Each unit 2 basically comprises two cylindrical containers 4 containing gas separation material to provide new gaseous products.

[0014] Each separation unit 2 assembly comprises a top plate 5 and a bottom support plate 6, said plates 5 and 6 enclosing said cylindrical container 4 between them.

[0015] In order to make the overall structure sufficiently strong, the top plate 5 and the bottom plate 6 are joined by threaded tie rods 7 and 8 which engage the corners of the plates 5 and 6 .

[0016] as in figure 1 As clearly shown in , the threaded tie rods 7 and 8 are clamped relative to the plates 5 and 6 by clamping nuts 9 .

[0017] The gas mixture inlet, the corresponding gas outlet, ...

Abstract

The present invention discloses a modular gas-separating adsorber assembly,in which a pair of cylindric vessels, filled-in by a given amount of an adsorbing material (either a mainly adsorbing or a mainly adsorbing material) are always operatively assembled with a top plate and a bottom plate, the top and bottom plates being mutually coupled by tie rods, engaged in the plate corners, the bottom plates and top plates forming plate chambers and being operatively connected with the chamber formed by adjoining cylindric vessel, the plates having projecting fittings to be assembled with the plate chambers included in adjoining vessels.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a modular gas adsorber assembly. Background technique [0002] Existing gas adsorbers conventionally consist of a metal vessel filled with a given amount of adsorbent material forming a screen in the vessel to allow the separation of one or more gases from a gas mixture so that based on predetermined parameters at A new, different gas mixture is provided at the outlet of the vessel and, depending on the process and adsorption material used, is free of other undesirable substances. The disadvantage of said known adsorbers is that they are manufactured with a predetermined construction volume depending on the quantity and purity of the end gas stream. Therefore, the existing adsorbers have to be specially designed according to the customer's needs, which entails relatively high design costs and the use of different adsorbent materials to meet the well-defined customer needs.
