Abstract

The invention discloses a method for implementing a transport stream time mapping comprising: transmitting a media request to a media server, and a client receiving the media server feedback reply message containing a media time stamp; calculating a time mapping relation of the transport stream by using the media time stamp and a real play position. Even under the packet loss condition, the invention can guarantee the client to calculate an exact mapping relation, further accurately calculate the play position of the transport position, and optimize user's experience.
