The device is characterized by comprising vehicle speed variation predicting means for predicting a variation of the vehicle speed of a vehicle before the vehicle enters an intersection, and traffic light state predicting means for predicting the state of the traffic light before the vehicle enters the intersection on the basis of the predicted variation of the vehicle speed. The vehicle speed variation predicting means predicts a variation of the vehicle speed on the basis of information stored in storage means and including characteristics about the past driver's records of the variations of the vehicle speed before the vehicle enters the intersection and the travel environment associated with the characteristics and uses different methods for predicting a variation of the vehicle speed before the vehicle reaches a predetermined region which is present on this side of the intersection and after the vehicle passes the predetermined region.
