Problems solved by technology

In this case, when the user closes the door, even if the user does not have the intention to lock the door, the locking portion locks the door due to the finger or handbag touching the front side surface of the locking portion
[0013] The door contact sensor described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-344554 (JP-A-2006-344554) has a lock sensor electrode provided on the front side portion of the door handle, and thus has the same structure as shown in FIG. The problem

Abstract

A capacitance touch sensing device (1) that detects the touch of a user against a surface of a door handle (2) on the outside of a vehicle includes an upper sensor electrode (3) provided in an upper portion of the door handle (2), a lower sensor electrode (4) provided in a lower portion of the door handle (2), an upper detecting portion (6) that detects when the user has touched an upper surface of the door handle based on output from the upper sensor electrode (3), and a lower detecting portion (7) that detects when the user has touched a lower surface of the door handle based on output fromthe lower sensor electrode (4). The detection sensitivity of one of the upper detecting portion (6) or the lower detecting portion (7) is lower than the detection sensitivity of the other.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to capacitive touch sensing devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a capacitive touch sensing device capable of avoiding false detection that a user has touched a door handle when rainwater has accumulated on an upper surface of the door handle or the like in a vehicle provided with a keyless entry system. The invention also relates to a door locking device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a door locking device capable of reliably locking or unlocking a door in a vehicle provided with a keyless entry system even when ice or snow exists on a top surface of a door handle. Background technique [0002] In the following description, the terms up, down, front, and rear represent directions with respect to the vehicle. A door handle according to the related art in a vehicle provided with a keyless entry system will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. 26 is a ...
