Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for updating closed subscriber group (CSG) information. The method comprises the step of sending the identifiers of a subscriber and a base station to a service provider network corresponding to the subscriber after adding the subscriber to a CSG list of the base station so as to update the local CSG information by the service provider network. According to the invention, after the subscriber is added to the CSG list of the base station, the updated subscriber and base station identifiers are sent to the service provider network to which the subscriber belongs so as to update the local CSG white list information of the service provider network so that a terminal can avoid trying to switch on the base station to which the CSG member does not belongs or reentering network, thereby reducing the failure rate of switch or network re-entry.
