Abstract

An apparatus is provided for positioning a preformed tape as a layer on a substrate during the fabrication of a layered resistor device. The device includes at least one positioning member, wherein the positioning member defines a proximal end and a distal end. The device also includes a contact member adapted to engage the preform strip against the substrate. The contact member and the distal end of the positioning member are configured to position the preform tape on the substrate.
